MUSCAT, OCT 1 – The Omani Authority for Partnership for Development (OAPFD) has signed a contract with Software Systems LLC (SSL) to create and develop an internal In Country Value (ICV) System that is aligned with Partnership for Development (PFD).
The contract was signed by Dr Dhafir Awadh al Shanfari, Chief Executive Officer of the Omani Authority for Partnership for Development (OAPFD) and Eihab Maqbool al Saleh, Chief Executive Officer of OHI Group of Companies, on behalf of Software Systems LLC
The signing of the contract comes within the framework of OAPFD to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of the PFD programme and projects successfully. Moreover, the system comes in line with the orientations and strategy of the Sultanate to implement e-government and develop the digital society.
Commenting during the event, Dr Dhafir al Shanfari stated, “This is a significant step for OAPFD towards automation of OAPFD process. The application would be a single platform to capture PFD contribution for all government entities and obligors and the system would allow more transparency and easy calculation of PFD obligations and scores. Moreover, the system will be a good platform to encourage our OEM obligors to assess and consider our local industry as part of their internal supply chain. ”
Eihab Maqbool al Saleh stated, “We believe this partnership will enable OAPFD to streamline its operations allowing its employees more time to focus on the core vision, manage and administer the PFD/Offset programme. We are proud to be a part of another unique project which we will add enormous value to the growth of the national economy.”
